My Home, Newfoundland, is a COVID-19 Disaster

As kids, my friends and I always thought that Newfoundland, an island on the eastern edge of North America, would be one of the best places to hide during a zombie apocalypse.

Now, with the COVID-19 pandemic having reached most of the world, it seems we were wrong. My home is a COVID-19 disaster relative to where I currently am, and I have to admit that I’m surprised.

Of course, the more I think about it, the more I guess it shouldn’t be that shocking. There are many reasons why things are the way they are back home right now, but there’s one specific one that inspired me to write a piece about the current situation.
