Ryan Patey is as close to a musician as one can be without knowing how to play a single note. With countless hours logged in vans, jam spaces, recording studios, back stage, and in front of mixing boards and computers, he has been there for the ups and downs with many of those who play the right notes.

management
Not content with simply managing a venue back in 2003, Ryan soon began to become more involved with the careers and lives of the musicians he met. Eventually this led to the release of several albums through his label, numerous tours, and even a few music videos. Ryan continues to convince himself that his B.Sc in Psychology is being put to good use every time he takes on a new act.

booking
Over the years, Ryan has organized shows in his living room, record stores, an Internet cafe, numerous outdoor locations, and venues across North America. He has had the pleasure of dealing with solo musicians, duos, trios and even acts with string sections. Whether it was their first gig at an all-ages cafe or the beginning or end date of their national tour, Ryan has helped to oversee the booking, promotion and production of hundreds of shows.

festivals
In the past, Ryan has overseen the production of five outdoor festivals within Halifax known as the Tumbleweed Festival. Each festival was free in admission and was intended to showcase the all-ages music scene within Halifax, typically involving both local and touring acts.
